1:04 p.m., Sept. 2, 2010----Newark Police have released photos and videos showing two unidentified women who are believed to be suspects in the pepper spray street robbery that occurred early on Saturday, Aug. 28, on North Chapel Street in Newark.
The images are from video surveillance cameras at the Wawa at 1741 Elkton Rd., Elkton, Md., taken shortly after the incident. They show two women who used one of the credit cards taken from one of the victims.
Anyone with information about the identity of the pictured suspects is asked to contact Detective Fred Nelson at (302) 366-7110, ext. 136, or by email at [Frederick.Nelson@cj.state.de.us]. Information also can be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers, where a reward may be available. Anonymous tips can be texted to 302NPD, with the information to TIP411 (847411).
