4:13 p.m., Sept. 1, 2010----The Black Student Union at the University of Delaware will hold a 2010 AIDS Rally beginning at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, at the Bacchus Theatre in the Perkins Student Center.

The theme of the rally is “Knowing is Beautiful.”

Each year, BSU hosts the AIDS Rally to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

Many people think they have all the facts about HIV/AIDS but there are many myths and misconceptions that surround the disease, a representative of the organization said, adding that through the rally organizers hope to achieve a higher understanding of how to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

There will be refreshments, and any donations received will go to benefit AIDS Delaware.
