Liaison of the quarter recognition is given to exemplary members of the University of Delaware's Human Resources team.

Donald G. Unger, professor and chair of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Education and Human Development, said in his nomination of Salzbrenner, “I have found Tammy to be extremely responsive and helpful in working with me, as department chair, as well as with professional staff and faculty. She is highly committed to our department and I know that I can depend upon her to help us find solutions when HR issues seem ever so complex. She is very deserving of recognition for all she does in her role as HR Liaison.”

Barb Ruane, who also works with Salzbrenner in the department, said of her, “Tammy's duties are many and are essential to the running of the department. Always professional yet caring, Tammy is knowledgeable of all aspects of her role as HR liaison, if she doesn't have the answer (which is rare) she will find the correct answer for your particular circumstance.”

Salzbrenner said of the honor, “When I learned that Dr. Unger and other staff members had nominated me for the award I was thrilled to be recognized for my work. When told that I was named HR Liaison for the third quarter, I was really taken aback -- I never expected it.”

Working for the past eight years in Alumni Relations, Facilities and the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Salzbrenner said she has been able to gain experience in many facets of University operations.

“Being part of the Human Resources team is a constant learning experience,” she said. “I value the opportunities it has given me to work with different people across campus.”
