8:39 a.m., Oct. 5, 2010----For the last several months the University of Delaware's Division of Athletics and Recreation Services and Facilities-Planning and Construction have been working to develop a University-wide recreation master plan.
In an effort to meet the heightened needs and expectations of the campus community, this plan will likely involve a significant renovation/addition to the Carpenter Sports Building.
The University has hired RDG Planning and Design as consultants to help lead this process. RDG's depth of knowledge and wealth of experience has led them to national prominence in several focus markets, including colligate recreation facilities.
In an effort to gain community feedback as it relates to the desired priorities and amenities for this project, RDG will be on campus to host a town hall style meeting Thursday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., in Room 115 of Purnell Hall.
University students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend, share ideas, and hear details as it relates to the current plans.
