10:06 a.m., Nov. 11, 2010----Winter Commencement 2011 will be held beginning at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9, in the Bob Carpenter Center. The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
Doors at The Bob will open at 12:30 p.m., and those attending are advised to arrive early to allow ample time for parking and seating. Degree candidates and guests should be at the Bob Carpenter Center no later than 1 p.m.
All guests must have tickets to attend Winter Commencement; degree candidates wearing academic regalia are not required to have tickets.
Guest seating at the Bob Carpenter Center is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each degree candidate is entitled to a maximum of eight guest tickets, which are free. (Tickets may not be sold, reproduced or traded in any way.) Degree candidates may pick up guest tickets from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Friday, Nov. 29-Dec. 3, at the ID Office in the Student Services Building on Lovett Avenue. Students picking up tickets should bring photo ID with them.
If additional tickets are needed, the degree candidate should request them at the same time they pick up their eight guest tickets. A waiting list will be maintained in the ID office, and those on the waiting list will be accommodated on a space-available basis. These tickets will be available for pick-up after Dec. 6.
