Changes at pay lots
Parking and Transportation announces validation changes, fee standardization
3:15 p.m., May 25, 2011--University of Delaware Parking and Transportation has announced changes for campus pay lots beginning this year.
The changes include a new method for offices to validate parking for their guests and standardization of fees for the four pay lots on campus.
New instruction/study space
University units validating parking for guests will use a new validation program, as of July 1. The current rubber stamp system will be replaced with pre-paid validation coupons, allowing validated customers to use the self-service pay station or the cashier. During the months of July and August 2011, all four pay lots will accept stamped validations and pre-paid coupons. Beginning with the fall semester, the stamped validations will no longer be accepted. For more information regarding the new validation process, contact Parking Services at 302-831-1184 or write to email@example.com.
Beginning at the start of the fall semester, the four pay lots -- Center for the Arts, Perkins and Trabant garages and the Visitor Center -- will have standardized pricing at 75 cents per half hour, Monday through Friday, until 10:30 p.m. Visitors to the University may also choose to park at parking meters or purchase a visitor pass. All University parking meters will be active 24 hours a day. Visitor passes can be purchased online at $3 per day, $9 for a three-day pass, $20 for a monthly pass, or $78 for a pass good for the fall or spring semester.
