As part of the collaboration, UD's Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and College of Engineering plan to work with JPMC on joint research projects in the area of business analytics with the end goal of leveraging UD's expertise to improve JPMC's business and efficiency via business modeling and implementation of innovative IT solutions.

The research will focus on three key areas of business analytics, including: process productivity and efficiency, or how manual operations and remote workers can be streamlined and automated; database analysis and optimization, including ways to leverage emerging technologies to improve forecasting and data-mining; and customer self-service.

To support these focus areas, the creation of a JPMorgan Chase Innovation Center at UD is currently undergoing construction with an opening date planned later this spring.

The Innovation Center will enable faculty from across UD to easily collaborate on potential applied research projects in this domain. In turn, JPMC will staff the center with its professionals to support the research projects.

During the expo, UD faculty will gain insight into some of the technical challenges faced by JPMC during a luncheon. Following the luncheon, UD faculty will have the opportunity to showcase their expertise and ideas to JPMC technology team members.

Faculty interested in participating in the expo or sponsoring a research project idea should contact Bintong Chen at [bchen@udel.edu] by March 25. For more information about the JPMC-UD Collaboration, visit the website.
