9:56 a.m., March 21, 2011----Andrew Kohut, president of the Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C., and a public opinion expert with global experience, will discuss “Global Attitudes: Changes Since 9/11” as the University of Delaware's Global Agenda series continues at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in Mitchell Hall.

Kohut has been directing the Pew Global Attitudes project, which measures public opinion about the United States around the world.

He is former president of the Gallup Organization, founder of Princeton Survey Research Associates and founding director of surveys for the Times Mirror Center.

Kohut is a press commentator on the meaning and interpretation of opinion poll results and in recent national elections, he has served as a public opinion consultant and analyst for National Public Radio.

Global Agenda, now in its tenth season, is presented by the Center for Political Communication, with support from the Institute for Global Studies and the UD departments of Communication and Political Science and International Relations.

Presentations are moderated by Ralph Begleiter, director of the Center for Political Communication.

The series takes place at Mitchell Hall on Wednesdays. It is free and no tickets or reservations are required. A complete schedule and details of speaker appearances are available at the Global Agenda website.
