10:07 a.m., March 18, 2011----University of Delaware alumni are invited to a wide range of events, including a dinner to benefit Engineers Without Borders, a Friends of Lacrosse golf outing and happy hours sponsored by a number of local alumni club chapters.
Events are as follows:
College of Engineering Alumni are invited to attend a UD Engineers Without Borders chapter benefit dinner at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 24, at the Deerfield Country Club, 507 Thompson Station Rd., Newark. Cash bar reception will begin at 6:30, with dinner from 7-9 p.m. For details or to register, see the College of Engineering Alumni website.

The New Castle County Alumni Club will participate in the Ronald McDonald House 5K on Saturday morning, April 23, beginning at the Big Fish Grill on the Wilmington riverfront. The Department of English will hold the W.D. Snodgrass Symposium in memory of the late UD faculty member who won the 1960 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, at the Roselle Center for the Arts. The symposium will feature poet X.J. Kennedy, New Yorker essayist, and author Adam Gopnik (Paris to the Moon) as well as poet and UD Professor Emeritus of English Gib Ruark (Passing Through Customs).
