2:46 p.m., Jan. 5, 2011----The University of Delaware Library is offering two library orientation sessions for secretarial and office staff.
Both sessions will include use of electronic resources such as the library web, DELCAT, WorldCat Local, library databases, electronic journals and library subject guides.
AskRef Live, an online library service, and RefWorks, which automatically creates and formats bibliographies, will be demonstrated. Other electronic and traditional library services of great use to secretarial and office staff will be covered.
There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and/or to identify other topics for future workshops.
The first session will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, from 10-11:30 a.m., in the Library Instruction Room (116A) Morris Library, First Floor. Presenters will be Meg Grotti, assistant librarian and coordinator of library instruction, Reference Department, and Carol Rudisell, librarian, Reference Department.
The second session will be held Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 10-11:30 a.m., also in the Library Instruction Room. Presenters will be Thomas Melvin, librarian, Reference Department, and Erin Daix, associate librarian, Reference Department.
