12:27 p.m., Feb. 8, 2011----Applications for students interested in serving as University of Delaware New Student Orientation (NSO) leaders are due by 5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14.
“The NSO program and staff strive to exemplify what it means to be a Blue Hen. We are looking for students who are enthusiastic, positive, responsible and full of Blue Hen pride to help welcome and inspire new students to become active members of the UD community,” said Heather Maginnis, director of NSO.
The NSO program offers students the opportunity to enhance leadership and public speaking skills, form networking connections and make lasting friendships. But, it doesn't come without hard work and dedication to the program.
Some duties include:
Serving as a role model for new students.
Leading small group sessions for both parents and students.
Assisting families with concerns and questions.
