8:29 a.m., Feb. 4, 2011----University of Delaware Alumni Night events will be held at two National Basketball Association games this month, one in Houston and the other in Washington, D.C.
UD Alumni Night at the Houston Rockets will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
There will be a pre-game reception at 6 p.m. in the Lobby Bar of the Hilton, 1600 Lamar St., with tip-off at 7:30 p.m. at the Toyota Center, which is a short walk from the Hilton.
In the game, the Rockets will take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
Tickets are $35 per person.

UD Alumni Night at the Washington Wizards will be held Saturday, Feb. 26.
Activities will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-game gathering at the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern.
That will be followed by a tour of the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., at 6:45 p.m. Tip-off for the game, with the Wizards taking on the Dallas Mavericks, will be at 8.

The Boston Alumni Club will gather for the Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball game between the Blue Hens and Northeastern University on Tuesday, Feb. 15. A pre-game event will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Conor Larkins Grill and Tap, 329 Huntington Ave., with tip-off at 7 p.m. at Matthews Arena. The New Castle County Alumni Club, in cooperation with the University of Delaware Alumni Association, will hold a special event as the Blue Hens women's basketball team takes on James Madison University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest on Sunday, Feb. 20. A pre-game buffet will be offered from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center, with tip-off at 3. Cost is $17 for adults and $14 for young people ages 2-12. The Lancaster Alumni Club will hold a happy hour from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Iron Hill Brewery, 781 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, Pa. Also, the club will sponsor an evening at the Fulton Theatre, which is showing The 39 Steps, on Thursday, Feb. 24. There will be a reception at 6:15 p.m. featuring Thomas Leitch, professor in UD's Department of English and an expert on Alfred Hitchcock, who directed the 1935 film The 39 Steps.
