8:16 a.m., Dec. 1, 2010----University of Delaware faculty who are considering applying for funding to support projects through the Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center can attend an interest meeting on Thursday, Dec. 9, from 3-4:30 p.m. in 109 Memorial Hall.
The center, in the College of Arts and Sciences, supports three types of projects: collaborative, multi-disciplinary research; “Integrated Semester” teaching collaborations; and programming for visiting artists and scholars. Proposals are expected to be creative and intellectually ambitious and to either establish strategic new research directions or enhance established interdisciplinary research strengths.
The deadline to apply for the next grant cycle, with funding available as early as March 1, 2011, is Friday, Jan. 14.
