The “Wellness Plus” program provides a one-step registration process; in return, participants will receive a variety of programming at a discounted rate.

“Wellness Plus” members will receive the following:

* Automatic enrollment in four health campaigns, including the fall “Dare to Be Fit” program, winter nutrition program, the annual spring walking program and the summer “Survivor” series;

* Biometric screening including measurements of blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and glucose;

* Free admittance to the annual humor event (May, 2011); and

* “Wellness Plus” VIP Card.

The cost for this entire package of programming is $75 Wellness Dollars. This reflects a savings of $20 if the individual were to purchase these programs individually.

“This program is about convenience,” says Kathy Corbitt, director of the Healthy-U Program. “Too often we hear from employees that they didn't know about a program or they forgot to sign up. This program will remove those obstacles and they will receive quality programs and services consistently throughout the year.”

How to enroll

Between Aug. 16 and Sept. 17, employees and retirees can register by logging on to the Healthy-U website. Check “register for a wellness center program” and then choose, “Wellness Plus 2010/2011.”

Those with questions can contact the Healthy-U Employee Wellness Program at 831-8388 or visit the Healthy-U Employee Wellness Program website for additional program details.
