1:08 p.m., Sept. 22, 2009----Vaccinations for seasonal flu (not H1N1) are now available for UD students at the Student Health Service.
While this vaccination does not protect individuals from H1N1 influenza, it does protect against other types of influenza during the coming flu season.
Students can book an appointment by accessing a special Web site. They can also make an appointment by phone by calling (302) 831-2226, Option 1, during regular business hours.
The charge to students for seasonal influenza vaccine is $13, which will be billed to their student accounts after they get the vaccination.
Seasonal flu vaccination clinics for UD employees will be held in October. Additional information is available at an Employee Wellness Center Web site.
If supplies of H1N1 vaccine are made available, an H1N1 vaccination program will be offered later.
