8:47 a.m., Sept. 3, 2009----In an effort to provide ongoing training opportunities to University of Delaware employees, the training and organizational development team within the Office of Human Resources has partnered with representatives across UD to form a Training Advisory Committee of people who are involved in or have a key interest in providing relevant and up to date training opportunities for faculty and staff.

As a result of a training survey that was conducted last year, employees will notice changes in the training program. Also, a new Web site provides details on all of the various training opportunities that are available on campus.

Many of the courses are offered in the morning and afternoon, and new categories have been added that HR representatives believe will be of interest.

“This is the first step in bringing new and exciting training opportunities to UD,” stated J.J. Davis, vice president for administration. “We understand that our most valuable resource is our employees. In this time of rapid growth and change within the University, we are striving to bring new and updated programs in the areas of career, organizational and leadership development, and wellness that will help employees develop their skills and talents in every aspect of their employment at the University of Delaware. I strongly encourage all employees to take advantage of these exciting programs and resources.”
