Six Sigma is top among management tools available to help companies reach the next level. Mastering Six Sigma practices and tools can be the key to an organization's success.

A new program at the University of Delaware will allow people to earn their Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate in six weeks. The program will benefit a variety of employees across all industries.

The University's Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate provides participants with a framework to develop and implement a quality management system that is capable of sustaining high performance and positive bottom line results. The program provides participants with the practical skills needed to improve processes through the use of a disciplined, data-driven approach. The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework is coupled with statistics and problem solving tools to drive the improvement process.

This program has minimal emphasis on mathematic calculations. Individual coaching is provided throughout the program to ensure that participants grasp the content and methodologies.

Classes will be held on six consecutive Saturdays, beginning Oct. 3, at the UD Downtown Center, 8th and King streets, Wilmington.
