1:33 p.m., Sept. 25, 2009----KRS-One will present “The Fundamentals of Hip Hop” during a special presentation at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the University of Delaware's Mitchell Hall.
The event, which is being offered by UD's Cultural Programming Advisory Board, is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 7 p.m.
KRS-One is the stage name of Lawrence Krishna Parker, an MC and producer who earned a 2008 BET Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in founding the Stop the Violence Movement, as well as his contributions as a pioneer of hip hop music and culture.
