The shared interest was explored at three special programs on the campus on Saturday, Sept. 12. A workshop on "Voice for the Stage" was led by Steve Tague, PTTP faculty member and REP actor. Joann Browning, a member of the PTTP faculty and associate dean of the arts in the College of Arts and Sciences, led a workshop on stage movement, and a workshop on directing was led by Sandy Robbins, chairperson of the Department of Theatre, REP artistic director and PTTP director of training.

"This was the first-ever activity that brought together the REP professionals and PTTP faculty with the members of UD's undergraduate drama organizations," Robbins said. "They were an enormous success."

After the formal workshops, the REP company joined the students for a pizza dinner, provided by the theatre department, and informal conversations about the wide array of professional, graduate and undergraduate theatre at UD.

In a postworkshop survey, participants rated the workshops as one of their best experiences at UD. Two freshmen listed the REP program at UD as a major factor in choosing to attend UD, and the students indicated that they look forward to more such activities.
