Bannowsky to perform 'Autoplant' at Fringe Wilmington

10:32 a.m., Sept. 22, 2009----Phillip Bannowsky, a University of Delaware alumnus and supplemental faculty in the Department of English, will perform Autoplant: A Poetic Monologue as part of Fringe Wilmington.

Performances are scheduled at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, and at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4, at 4W5, a former café at 4 W. 5th St., in Wilmington.

Bannowsky was employed 31 years at the Chrysler Corp. assembly plant in Newark, taking leaves along the way to earn degrees from UD and teach in Ecuador. He retired in 2001 and since then has taught in Lebanon and at UD.

Fringe Wilmington will feature 26 acts plus a 24-hour filmmaking competition. All tickets are $10 and will be available online in advance, or at the box office at 605 N. Market St. in Wilmington during the festival, Oct. 1-4.
