8:35 a.m., Sept. 25, 2009----University of Delaware New Castle County young alumni will gather from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, at McGlynn's Pub off Polly Drummond Hill Road in Newark.
The cost is $10 per person. Alumni who plan to attend can register online.
In addition, the UD Office of Alumni Relations has announced a number of activities in conjunction with homecoming, which will feature a noontime football game between the Blue Hens and Colonial Athletic Association rival James Madison University. Activities include:
A New Castle County pre-homecoming alumni reception will be held from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, at Timothy's, overlooking White Clay Creek off Paper Mill Road in Newark. Cost is $5 per person. Alumni who plan to attend can register online.
The Class of 1959 homecoming celebration will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31. The 50th class reunion dinner will be held Saturday. Class members who plan to attend can register online.
The reunion committees homecoming kick-off event and leadership training will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31. The kick-off will be held Friday evening and training Saturday morning. For details or to register, see the UD Connection Web page.
The College of Education and Public Policy will hold a homecoming brunch on Saturday, Oct. 31. The event will be held in the CEPP tent, to be located next to the football practice field behind the Delaware Field House. Alumni who plan to attend can register online.
The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will hold a homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be a pre-game brunch and ice cream from the UD Creamery. Alumni who plan to attend can register online.
