2:34 p.m., Oct. 28, 2009----With the University of Delaware home to a large number of fans of both the defending World Champion Philadelphia Phillies and the American League Champion New York Yankees -- evidenced by the many hats and jerseys seen across campus this week -- the Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) has planned a special large-screen showing of World Series Game 4.
The game will be shown beginning at 8:20 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, in the Trabant University Center Food Court.
The food court will be decorated with Phillies and Yankees balloons and there will be a contest for the most spirited fan.
SCPAB thought such an event “would be fun because UD has so many students who are Phillies or Yankees fans,” said Meghan K. Davidson, program coordinator for UD Student Centers.
