3:17 p.m., Oct. 13, 2009----The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is offering several training workshops this fall in collaboration with UD's Training and Organizational Development, other campus units and outside organizations, OEI has several training/workshop offerings that are open for registration
Several of the workshops focus on advancing diversity on campus, and some are targeted to ensure that managers are aware of updates to laws and policies in place to prevent discrimination and harassment at the University.
A November workshop, “Welcoming A Child: Policies and Practicalities for Parents,” with separate sessions for faculty and non-faculty, will focus on the family leave policies and will feature a panelist of parents discussing their experiences while working at UD.

The Office of Equity and Includes plans to offer regular sessions for the UD community on topics pertaining to making the University a more welcoming and inclusive place to work and live. Departments or units with specific topics they would like to see offered should contact the office at 831-8063.
The Office of Equity and Inclusion, which combined the services and support of several offices (Affirmative Action, Women's Affairs and the LGBT Community Office) in July, works to advocate for an equitable and inclusive work and learning environment.
