10:35 a.m., Oct. 21, 2009----Still need to carve your jack-o'-lantern for Halloween? The University of Delaware Animal Science Club will hold its annual pumpkin sale on Monday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pumpkins and gourds of various sizes will be sold on the patio of the Trabant Center.
Also, UDairy ice cream will be sold in conjunction with the sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pumpkins were donated by Ramsey's Farm in north Wilmington, which is owned and operated by UD alumnus Stewart Ramsey, who received a bachelor's degree from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 1985 and a master's degree in 1988.
Proceeds will support the club's activities, which include an annual animal science competition to be held this year in Rhode Island, and Agribility, a charity that helps disabled farmers.
