4:11 p.m., Oct. 22, 2009----A “100 Mile Dinner,” with all items on the menu produced from local growers, will be featured at the Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23-25.
Dinner will be served from 5-10 p.m., each day, and the menu includes carrot and apple soup ($3.50), gnocchi with a red sauce ($9.99), herb side salad ($3.50) and pumpkin ice cream ($3.50).
Sponsored by the Courtyard and Slow Food on Campus, the event is designed to educate individuals about how food choices can affect carbon emissions in the atmosphere and global warming.
