7:57 a.m., Oct. 8, 2009----In celebration of National 4-H Week, Oct. 4-11, Delaware Gov. Jack Markell took time out of his schedule to meet the officers of the Delaware 4-H State Teen Council at his office in Dover.
The officers discussed with the governor their plans for the upcoming year and thanked him for his support of Delaware 4-H and Cooperative Extension.
State Teen Council officers who met with Markell were Emily Passwaters, president; Sara Somers, vice president; Terra Tatman, secretary; Kaitlin Klair, treasurer; and Hannah Harvey, reporter.
Delaware 4-H youth development is an important part of University of Delaware Cooperative Extension.
