7:11 a.m., Oct. 12, 2009----The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on Genealogy for Beginners from 10-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the Library Instruction Room (116A) on the first floor of the Morris Library.

Genealogy for Beginners will cover basic genealogy research methods and provides an overview of the finding aids available through the University of Delaware Library. Attendees will learn how to search the online database Ancestry Library Edition for U.S. census records and find their ancestors in city directories.

Presenter will be Rebecca Knight, associate librarian

The workshop is available at no charge and is open to University of Delaware students, faculty and staff, as well as the public. Seating is limited and registration is required. Registration is available online.
