12:28 p.m., Oct. 30, 2009----The University of Delaware Department of Environmental Health and Safety has announced that requests for service or maintenance to campus fire extinguishers should be made via e-mail to [fire-safe@udel.edu] or by calling Jeff Work, fire safety technician, at (302) 831-3791.

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety will make direct contact with the term contractor for expedient fire extinguisher service.

The following information is requested:

-- Name and telephone number of caller;

-- Exact location of fire extinguisher;

-- Type and size of extinguisher, if known; and

-- Date and time of call
