6:25 p.m., Oct. 13, 2009----Songwriter/performer David Stein will be featured at the Great Hall Coffeehouse, at St. Thomas's Episcopal Church, 276 South College Ave., on Friday, Oct. 16.
The coffeehouse is cosponsored by St. Thomas's Episcopal Church and Episcopal Campus Ministry. Doors open at 8 p.m., with music starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for the public and $5 for UD students.
The Episcopal Campus Ministry will have hand-crafted products from Kenya available for sale during the show, with the majority of the proceeds going back to Africa for mission work supporting orphanages and shelters.
For the past several years, Stein has been performing in coffee shops, clubs and colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region. Recently, he recorded his debut album at MilkBoy Recording, near Philadelphia, and his CD will be on sale at the coffeehouse. After extensive touring, his fan base extends from Boston to Austin, Tex.
