10 a.m., Nov. 17, 2009----The University of Delaware Department of Music will present a “Messiah Sing” event at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.
Hosted by the student division of the American Choral Directors Association, the “Messiah Sing” is a huge choral sing-through of the Christmas section and Halleluiah chorus from Handel's masterpiece, Messiah, in which the audience is the choir.
Soloists and conductors will be a combination of UD faculty and music department students.
Students and community members alike are welcome to attend, and scores will be provided if needed, although audience members are welcome to bring their own.
The event is free of charge but donations to the American Choral Directors Association chapter will be welcome.
