5:19 p.m., Nov. 5, 2009----The Nov. 16 Maroon 5 concert at The Bob sold out quickly when tickets first went on sale in September. On Monday, Nov. 9, an additional 138 tickets for obstructed-view seats will go on sale first to UD students. If any of these tickets are still available, they will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 13. These seats have an obstructed view of the stage and are being sold with that disclaimer.
Tickets for Delaware students with a UD ID are $20, and tickets for the general public are $35. They will be available at UD box offices for UD students, beginning at 10 a.m., Nov. 9, and for the general public, beginning at 10 a.m., Nov. 13.
Sponsored by the Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB), the show by the multiplatinum-selling band is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. The show has a new opener: Fitz and the Tantrums.
Known for its live performances and worldwide recognition, Maroon 5 has sold more than 10 million albums in the United States and nearly 15 million worldwide. Bandmates Adam Levine (vocals/guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards), Mickey Madden (bass) and Ryan Dusick (drums) have been acclaimed for their great performances to sell-out crowds of enthusiastic fans. The band's major hits include "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning."
