4:21 p.m., Nov. 17, 2009----The fifth annual International Education Festival at the University of Delaware, hosted by the English Language Institute (ELI), will be held from 4-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Perkins Students Center Scrounge and Rodney Room.

The gala celebration of international culture, part of the International Education Week at UD, will feature musical and dance performances by ELI students and other UD students, an international fashion show in partnership with the Department of Fashion and Apparel Design, and cultural displays from more than 20 countries.

There will be a World Talent Show beginning at 5 p.m. in the Rodney Room. The show will feature folk music, dance and poetry from Pakistan, music from Korea, dance from Saudi Arabia, dance from China, salsa dancing and American music.

Martial arts demonstrations will be held at 7 p.m. in the Scounge, and a World Fashion Show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Rodney Room.

The event, the largest international culture event of the year at UD, will be open to the entire university community. Light snacks will be served.

University student organizations scheduled to perform are: Indian Student Association, Korean Student Association, Minority Student Network, La Raza, DASA, and Caribbean Students Association.
