At 6:21 a.m. that morning, University Police responded to the Perkins Student Center on Academy Street and found a student with injuries to his head and scrapes on his hands and arms. The student, whose name is being withheld by the police, was incoherent at the time and could not describe how he was injured.

He was treated at Christiana Care Medical Center, where it was determined that he had slight skull fractures at the forehead and the back of his head. He has been released from the hospital, but because of his injuries has been unable to remember how he was injured.

The student is known to have left a house in the 100 block of West Main Street around 1:30 a.m. His whereabouts from that time until he was found at 6:21 a.m. are unknown. He had his wallet and cell phone at the time he was found, so police do not believe he was the victim of a robbery.

The student is a white male, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, with a medium build and dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark shirt and light brown pants. His typical route of travel would have been from West Main Street to Delaware Avenue to Academy Street.

Anyone with information is asked to contact University Police at (302) 831-2222.
