This update fixes a critical vulnerability that is currently being exploited on users' systems, according to a representative of University of Delaware Information Technologies. Therefore, Microsoft is pushing it out via Windows Update and Microsoft Update ahead of the normally scheduled release on Patch Tuesday, April 13.

This update is described in Microsoft Bulletin MS10-018; it also fixes nine other current vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer.

If you have Automatic Updates turned on, this update should be delivered to your computer automatically. If not, please use Windows Updates to manually check for updates.

If you have questions, contact the University's IT Help Center.
