After being rained out twice the week before, it was nice to finally see some sunshine, according to Amon, producer, director and composer of the musical. Filming took place on The Green from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and everything ran smoothly, he said.

“I can't thank University Media Services, particularly our primary cameraman, Bob DiIorio, enough,” Amon said.

Approximately 200 students, staff, faculty, alumni and their children participated in the exciting experience. “Cheerleaders were flying, dancers spinning, the marching band was having a blast, people were pouring through the Kissing Arches on either side of Memorial Hall dressed in blue and gold -- definitely a sight to see,” Amon said.

Kaitlin Sweeney, a 2004 UD graduate and the choreographer for the production, organized some incredible dance sequences. Her mother and sister, also a UD alum, aided in keeping everything running as planned, Amon said.

Drew Rifkin, co-creator of the show, stars alongside UD student Shanice Griffith, who plays a prospective student.

“I think the best part of the whole experience was the enthusiasm of the people involved. Everyone who was there wanted to be there. Yes, this movie will be an asset to the University for awhile, but the experience of creating it with such energetic people is immeasurable,” Amon said.

It is proposed that the project will be completely finished by the end of spring break. Students can look forward to a special release party on campus.

The video will be sent out to prospective students and also to alumni.
