The Distinguished Librarian Citation was given to Wojewodzki for her many roles as an advocate for libraries. A long-time member of the DLA and former State Representative, she is known for her advocacy for libraries of all types.

She has served on the Delaware State Council on Libraries, on the Governor's Task Force on School Libraries, as chair of the New Castle County Library Advisory Board, and as a member of the American Library Association Council, its governing body.

During her tenure as chair of the DLA Legislative Action Committee, she worked to defeat proposed UCITA legislation that would have restricted access to library materials.

Her role as an academic reference librarian at the University of Delaware Library focusing on the sciences was also mentioned, as well as her demonstrated advocacy, intellect, and humanity in support of democratic principles by ensuring free and equal access to information through libraries.

Wojewodzki received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and a master of public administration (MPA) degree, both from the University of Delaware, and a master's degree in library science from Rutgers University.
