Lehm, who has more than 37 years of engineering and surveying experience, was honored at the organization's awards banquet in May for his significant contributions to civil engineering. Through his leadership with both ASCE and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Lehm helped initiate and organize a number of position papers, forums, and symposia focused on Delaware's infrastructure needs.

That effort brought together key leaders of professional, trade, public, and community organizations, eventually resulting in creation of the Delaware Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Committee, which has evolved into today's Delaware Clean Water Advisory Council.

Lehm is a member of the Committee of 100, a business organization that promotes responsible economic development and addresses issues that affect Delaware's economic health, as well as the 2009 Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Small Business Alliance Board of Managers. He is a registered professional engineer in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
