10:32 a.m., July 16, 2009----The University of Delaware's HealthyU Employee Wellness Program is offering employees a new way to leverage allotted Wellness Dollars by purchasing “bundled” wellness programs all at one time.

Beginning this month, employees and retirees receiving full-time benefits will be able to register for the HealthyU Wellness Plus Program, a one-stop shopping service in which they can receive a variety of health and fitness services at a discounted rate.

Participants will receive the following programs and services for $50 Wellness Dollars:

* Fall wellness program (6 weeks)

* Spring walking program with pedometer (6 weeks)

* Comprehensive fitness assessment

* Biometric screening

* HealthyU program T-shirt

Participation in the Wellness Plus Program will provide easy access to a variety of programs and the flexibility to schedule fitness assessment and biometric screening appointments when it is most convenient for you. Assessments and screenings will be offered on multiple occasions throughout the year.

Participants also will save $15 Wellness Dollars and receive a HealthyU program T-shirt.

Employees working at UD's Wilmington and Southern Delaware locations are encouraged to participate, as designated screening and assessment dates will also be scheduled for these campuses.

How to enroll

Between July 20 and Sept. 14, employees and retirees can register online by logging in to the HealthyU Web site.
