9:59 a.m., July 31, 2009----The Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware will hold its annual summer research symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13. The event will be held in Room 106 of the Composites Manufacturing Science Laboratory on Academy Street.
Some 40 interns will make presentations and/or display posters on their summer projects. Attendees will include a group of 12- to 16-year-old budding engineers who attended the College of Engineering's K-12 outreach program, Cool Stuff Camp 2009, in July.
The event will begin with a welcome and breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and conclude with best-poster awards at 3 p.m. The program also includes lunch.
