1:03 p.m., July 9, 2009----The University Registrar's Web site now includes links to a revised academic calendar for 2009-2010, as well as the preliminary academic calendar for 2010-2011.

The revisions to the 2009-2010 calendar are all in May 2010:

-- Honors Day will not be held on May 7, as announced earlier.
-- Spring classes will end one day earlier, on Tuesday, May 18.
-- Final examinations will begin two days earlier, on Wednesday, May 19.
-- Final examinations will end two days earlier, on Wednesday, May 26.
-- Thursday, May 27, has been designated as Seniors' Day.
-- Friday, May 28, will feature the honors degree breakfast, doctoral hooding ceremony and some college Convocations.
-- Commencement will be on Saturday, May 29, as previously announced, followed by the remaining college Convocations.

Major dates on the preliminary academic calendar for 2010-2011 include:

-- Fall 2010 classes begin Aug. 31 and end Dec. 8, with final examinations from Dec. 9-16.
-- Fall break in 2010 begins after the last class on Tuesday, Nov. 23, and classes resume Monday, Nov. 29.
-- Winter Commencement is set Jan. 8, 2011.
-- Winter Session classes in 2011 begin Jan. 3 and end Feb. 4, with final examinations Feb. 5.
-- Spring classes in 2011 begin Feb. 7 and end May 17, with final examinations from May 18-25.
-- Spring break 2011 begins after the last class on Friday, March 25, and classes resume on Monday, April 4.
-- Spring Commencement in 2011 is May 28.
