3:57 p.m., Jan. 21, 2010----The University of Delaware will hold Service Appreciation Games for the Blue Hen men's basketball contest on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and the women's basketball game on Sunday, Feb. 7.
The Delaware men will take on Northeastern University at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2, in a game that will be televised live by ESPNU, while the women will host George Mason University on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m.
All veterans, military, police, fire and EMS service personnel and their families can purchase special discounted tickets for $1 each for the two home games. Service identification is required upon purchase.
Additionally, all local medical professionals can also purchase $1 tickets for the men's game on Feb. 2. Identification is required upon purchase.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Bob Carpenter Center Box Office on Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
They can also be purchased at the UD Season Ticket and Group Sales Office in the Delaware Field House on Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., as well as at the BCC on gameday. All discounted tickets are subject to availability. Block seating can be purchased in advance by calling (302) 831-2257.
