12:20 p.m., Feb. 8, 2010----The University of Delaware Office of Alumni Relations has announced that Monday, Feb. 15, is the deadline for nominations for the Emalea Pusey Warner Award, the Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Award and the Milton L. Draper Award.
The Warner and Taylor awards annually honor an outstanding woman and man, respectively, of the senior class. Recipients are awarded $2,500, are recognized at a luncheon and lead the alumni delegates' procession at Commencement.
Nominees must demonstrate outstanding academic success, community service and leadership and must have a 3.0 or better cumulative index. Visit the UDconnection Web page for more information and a nomination form.
The Draper Award provides one or two $2,000 scholarships each year to a sophomore or junior for exhibiting outstanding performance in fostering student - alumni interaction. The recipient must exemplify Mr. Draper's characteristics of leadership, dedication and enthusiasm for the University. Visit the UDconnection Web page for more information and a nomination form.
