3 p.m., Feb. 5, 2010----In celebration of Black History Month, the University of Delaware Black Student Union will sponsor an African American Inventors and Inventions Exhibit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, in Multipurpose Room C of the Trabant University Center.

The exhibit will showcase groundbreaking inventions and innovations that were pioneered by African Americans, to include the ironing board, golf tee, lawnmower, folding chair, galvanic battery, automatic gear shift and mop.

Donations will be accepted at the door with proceeds to benefit victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
