12:43 p.m., Dec. 10, 2009----The Delaware Division of Public Health has informed UD Student Health Services that H1N1 influenza vaccine for dispensing to the general student population is not expected to be available until the end of January.

“As students are home during the holidays, they may want to consider getting vaccinated while there, if the vaccine is available locally,” Dr. Joseph Siebold, director of Student Health Services, said.

When H1N1 vaccine is available at UD, the campus will be notified about general student clinics through e-mail, on the home page and on the H1N1 411 page. Vaccinations will be administered by appointment at Student Health Services. If additional H1N1 vaccine becomes available after the general student vaccinations, Student Health Services will ask the state if vaccine can be distributed to faculty and staff.
