11:12 a.m., Dec. 8, 2009----A complete and updated list of participants in the University of Delaware's Restaurant Affiliate Program, through which UD faculty and staff can find dining alternatives for business meals at Newark restaurants, is available online.

“We encourage faculty and staff looking for options at which to hold business lunches and dinners to check out the UD Restaurant Affiliate Program Web site to see which restaurants have been added,” said Eric Nelson, advertising manager in UD's Office of Communications and Marketing. “The UD Restaurant Affiliate Program was developed to encourage holding business meals at local restaurants. Establishments continue to be added to the program.”

Window stickers, such as that at right, have been distributed to participating restaurants for display.

UD faculty and staff are encouraged to use the University travel and entertainment (T&E) card at local restaurants that participate in the program as a money-saving tool, as those restaurants have agreed to a 10 percent discount on purchases made on the card.

Faculty and staff can see details and select from among participating restaurants at the Restaurant Affiliate Program Web page, located on UD's Procurement Web site, which includes links to the restaurant Web sites and enables prospective diners to review menus.

At the participating restaurant selected, UD diners should be sure to inform wait staff that they will be paying by using the travel and entertainment card so they will receive the 10 percent discount.
