1:02 p.m., Dec. 11, 2009----The 6th annual Winter Independent Film Series, sponsored by the University of Delaware Student Centers and featuring films produced on ultra-low budgets, will run through Winter Session.

The five films in the series will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 6 through Feb. 3, in the Trabant University Center Theatre.

The entire series is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and tickets will not be available in advance.

Dates and films are as follows:

Jan. 6 -- Blair Witch Project

Jan. 13 -- Medicine for Melancholy

Jan. 20 -- Mad Max

Jan. 27 -- Primer

Feb. 3 -- In Search of a Midnight Kiss

The films represent a variety of genres, offering something for everyone. “Blair Witch Project” features horror, while “Medicine for Melancholy” and “In Search of a Midnight Kiss” bring romance to the series. “Mad Max” offers low-budget dystopia and “Primer” is the sci-fi thriller of the series.
