8:57 a.m., Dec. 11, 2009----University of Delaware employees who are also alumni are invited to a special pre-game gathering prior to the Blue Hens women's basketball game to be played Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The pre-game event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on the east concourse of the Bob Carpenter Center, and will feature a buffet. Cost is $15 per person and guests are welcome when accompanied by a UD employee-alum.

Game time is 7 p.m., and the Hens will face Towson University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest. UD employees can pickup up to four complimentary tickets while the supply lasts.

All persons must have a game ticket to enter the Bob Carpenter Center.

Those who attend the game are encouraged to participate in the Verizon Wireless HopeLine program by donating no-longer used cell phones in a recycling program that supports victims of domestic violence.
