Request for Service forms will now work like other financial and HR forms that collect accounting information.

In addition, the Request for Service Web Forms will be enabled for a new feature called "My Accounting Shortcuts" that permits form originators to save their accounting information and simply retrieve it each time they use a RFS Web Form.

A help page that further explains this new feature is available.

Another benefit of this change is that form originators will be able to allocate those charges right on the form and no longer allocate afterward using the ProCard reconciliation system. This change is part of UD's effort to become PCI DSS compliant for credit card processing, a security standard that mandates procedures for credit card data security throughout the transaction process. Charges will appear on your Monthly Statement View.

Services providers like the Lock Shop, IT University Media Services and others, who provide the goods or services will see little change to their processing of the Request for Service Web Forms.

There will be a period of transition where both forms will be in progress. RFS Web Forms originated on Monday, April 12, and thereafter will use the Chart of Accounts.

RFS Web Forms originated before April 12 -- no matter when they are approved by the service provider -- will use the ProCard.

For more information, call the service provider listed at the top of the RFS Web Form. For questions on charging or reconciliation, call Procurement at 831-2161 or write to them at [procurement@udel.edu], or call General Accounting at 831-2175 or write to them at [general-accounting@udel.edu].
