4 p.m., Sept. 11, 2008----As part of its Path to ProminenceTM Strategic Plan to become a leader in sustainability, UD is launching a Single Stream Game Day recycling program to make recycling more convenient for fans in Delaware Stadium during the upcoming football season.
Single stream recycling bins will be placed in parking lots, tailgating areas and around the stadium to handle the disposal of all recyclable items.
- To participate in game day recycling, items should be placed in clear bags only (no food please) and taken to the rollaway recycling bins. All approved recyclable items--such as glass, cans, paper--can be recycled in a single container, with no need to separate approved materials;
- Grounds staff will handle the removal of all recyclable waste items from game day locations; and
- Recyclable items include newspapers, magazines, soft cover books, junk mail, office paper, paperboard, cardboard, plastic bottles, milk jugs, glass bottles (any color), tin, steel and aluminum cans. Others items should not be placed in recycling containers.

New scoreboard
Adding a new dimension of excitement to Fightin' Blue Hens football this season at Delaware Stadium is a newly installed scoreboard and a new sound system with enhanced sound and video capability.
The 40 foot by 34 foot scoreboard, manufactured and installed by Daktronics, boasts a 40 foot by 16 foot videoboard, with the ability to show live footage and instant replays, as well as prerecorded video and animation. An auxiliary 18 foot by 11 foot scoreboard is mounted to the side of the Bob Carpenter Center.
