Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a coordinated approach to assess, mitigate and monitor risks and opportunities that will affect the achievement of the University's strategic and financial objects. ERM takes a very broad view to evaluate both the risks and the opportunities the University will face on its Path to ProminenceTM.

Charges to the task force include:

  • Increasing the campus community's risk awareness and understanding of risk ownership;
  • Fostering the integration of ERM principles into routine planning and decisions; and
  • Conducting a high-level, enterprise-wide risk assessment.

The chairperson of the task force is Ramona Adams, assistant vice president for receipts, real estate and risk management. Other members of the task force are: Gary Stokes, director of risk management; Robin Elliott, director of occupational health and safety; Ian Janssen, director of University archives and records management; Marcia Nickle, emergency preparedness coordinator; and Michael Vaughan, senior assistant dean in the College of Engineering.
